Indication of the key figure "without search result" on a weekly/monthly basis
complete

Yannick Lange
It is currently possible to display the development "without result" on a daily basis. I would like to have the development displayed on a weekly or monthly basis. If I remember correctly, in the past it was possible to display the number of searches "without result" (as a whole number or as a percentage). This would also be a good alternative.

ok we'll additionally expose the raw aggregated searches together with the rate in the graphs

Hi Yannick,
sorry but I'm not sure if I understood your request. First of all do you refer to SearchInsights?
if so the following is current state:
-It is currently possible to display the development "without result" on a daily basis. The data shown in the table depends on the date-selection - So it's up to you to define the date-range you'd like to analyse
-If I remember correctly, in the past it was possible to display the number of searches "without result" (as a whole number or as a percentage).
in the chart above we already show the zero-result-rate on a daily basis - again based on the selected time-frame. Be informed that in this chart we are calculating the zero-result-rate different than most other vendors. As we use the unique per session and query zero-result per session as baseline - we do so to counteract against spam and bot-traffic.

Hi Andreas Wagner,
Ok. So the Zero Result Page refers to the Unique Searches in the Query Flow Graph? Because I need the number of zero result pages.

Andreas Wagner
Yannick Lange: Hi Yannik, we show both - on the "Underperforming Queries" View we show the absolute numbers in the Table and the unique ones in the Graph above. On the "Performance charts" View you'll see the graph for the zero result pages.

Yannick Lange
Andreas Wagner: Hi Andreas, but the number of searches without a result under "Underperforming Queries" only reflects the number of the top 500. I need the total number for reporting at management level. Would it be possible to show not only the rate of searches without results in Search Insights, but also the absolute number?

Andreas Wagner
Yannick Lange: Hm I don't know who gave you this information but it's not correct - in this view all queries are taken into account :-)

Yannick Lange
Andreas Wagner: However, it never goes further than 499, therefore
my guess.

Andreas Wagner
Yannick Lange: Maybe there is some confusion :-)
The Table in the "Underperforming Queries-View" which includes the queries/search terms is limited to the top500
BUT
The "Development Search without result" - which you referred to initially on the "Performance charts-view" is not limited and includes all.
So I guess the absolute number of searches-without-results when hovering over the chart / or when downloading the data would do the trick?

Yannick Lange
Andreas Wagner: Thank you for the explanation. And yes, that would be a suitable solution for me :-)
